Bloggiesta


I'm a bit late signing up but I decided to participate in Bloggiesta this weekend. It's actually perfect timing since the hubby works most of the weekend!

Check out It's All About Books blog to learn more or to sign up. Basically, the point of Bloggiesta is to take the time to both spiff up your blog and accomplish some of those things you've been meaning to do but just kept pushing aside. The list may change but I listed a few things I would like to tackle.

-Have a rotating blog roll in my footer<=This about had me beat! But I managed to get the marquee working in my footer. I will add more buttons another day. Thank you to Juju at Tales of Whimsy for giving me the code for the marquee :)
-Update my challenges and book reviews pages
-Create a rating system
-Create a Shelf Candy Button <= This one could be fun!
-Write reviews and schedule posts for my backlog of books
-Create & schedule posts for upcoming giveaways <= I worked on this a little bit but I still have more to do
-Decide if I want to use a signature on my posts <=I decided against this for now
-Rearrange my sidebar <=I did a little of this too but will continue to work on it :)

Overall I did accomplish some things but not as much I would have liked. I will definitely continue to work on my list though!

    I like your list. I've been cleaning up and rearranging my sidebars, visiting blogs, and participating in some mini-challenges.

    More to do, of course!

      Thanks! I won't really be able to start tackling things until tomorrow but I did do some minor rearranging of my sidebar.

      I like my twitter button but the email follow box may need changed <== sorry, thinking 'aloud' :)

    Wow that's quite an ambitious list! Even if you do only half of these you will be doing well!

    I have directions for the scrolling thingy if you want it let me know.

      I'm going to try to get as many checked off as I can, we'll see how I do.

      I know your scrolly box is in your sidebar, do you think your directions would work for the footer? I like how Juju has hers.

    I'm also creating a schedule for my giveaway's! I've got several actually to do from author's/publisher's and I don't want to leave anything out.

      I think I have 2 giveaway hops, a cover reveal, and a read-a-thon mini challenge to set up. It doesn't sound like much but I'm sometimes surprised how much time I end up spending fine tuning posts!

    Looks like you've got a lot to work on this weekend, but definitely all doable. My sidebars are something I've wanted to work on for awhile, I just never know what to put there for sure. Good luck and thanks for joining in Bloggiesta!
