Goodreads Summary:
This stunning debut captures the grotesque madness of a mystical under-land, as well as a girl’s pangs of first love and independence. Alyssa Gardner hears the whispers of bugs and flowers—precisely the affliction that landed her mother in a mental hospital years before. This family curse stretches back to her ancestor Alice Liddell, the real-life inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Alyssa might be crazy, but she manages to keep it together. For now. When her mother’s mental health takes a turn for the worse, Alyssa learns that what she thought was fiction is based in terrifying reality. The real Wonderland is a place far darker and more twisted than Lewis Carroll ever let on. There, Alyssa must pass a series of tests, including draining an ocean of Alice’s tears, waking the slumbering tea party, and subduing a vicious bandersnatch, to fix Alice’s mistakes and save her family. She must also decide whom to trust: Jeb, her gorgeous best friend and secret crush, or the sexy but suspicious Morpheus, her guide through Wonderland, who may have dark motives of his own.
I think the cover is stunning. I love the green surrounding her face and the butterflies and lady bug and beautiful accents. I also like that the title clearly stands out in the vibrant red.
Splintered on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Goodreads.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Now that is a gorgeous cover!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies, I love it too!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I just love the way the font curls just like the vinery. (Is it vinery? Wild branches?) Whatever, it looks great. I love the heading too, speaks miles about what it's going to be like.:)
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a STUNNING cover!! I was thinking of featuring it myself, since I have this book on my TBR list. Everything about this image is perfect, and visually attractive -- starting with that vibrant green! All of the details also make this image REALLY stand out. And the touches of red offset all the green. I LOVE that title!! The font is just GORGEOUS!! Another great element is the hair falling over the girl's left eye, while her visible eye has a very penetrating gaze. In short, this is GREAT shelf candy!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for participating in "Shelf Candy Saturday", and commenting on my own SCS post!! :)
