By Susan Ee

Series:  Penryn & the End of Days #1
Genre:  Young Adult, Angels, Post-Apocalyptic
Publisher: Feral Dream

It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels’ stronghold in San Francisco where she’ll risk everything to rescue her sister and he’ll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

Recommended for ages 16 and up.

My Thoughts:

I hear a lot of people say that some books are addicting and difficult to put down. I have even said that on occasion and was tempted to say it about this book as well. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that Angelfall was addicting but it was more than that. It ignited a sort of desperation in me. I was desperate to keep reading and to know what happened next.

Angelfall is a dark and twisted story that unfolds at a steady pace. It doesn’t give you any chance to be distracted by…well anything. It’s also a highly chew worthy book…as in you very well  may be forced to chew someone’s head off if they try get between you and this book. And to even further demonstrate how much I L O V E D this book, know that I was pimping it out to some friends when I was less than 40 pages into it.

Shout out and a big thank you to Tabitha @ My Shelf Confessions for peer pressuring me into reading this ;)

  1. Yes! You described how I felt perfectly! It's like there was no way you could stop. And that ending? and those....things...oh goodness - I knew it would be perfect for you given how much you like the creepy stuff.
