Werewolf in Greenwich Village & Werewolf in the North Woods by Vicki Lewis Thompson

Werewolf in Greenwich Village (Wild About You #1.5) novella

Quentin Wallace has it all. He’s got money in the bank from his lucrative job as a Manhattan contractor, and he runs with the big dogs of his were pack. But when he meets and falls for Nadia – who’s soon to be named the leader of New York’s Henderson pack – he knows he’s in over his head. Nadia belongs to a rarefied world; Quentin would sooner be seen in torn jeans than in an Armani suit. But when Nadia’s new position is threatened by a rebel were, Quentin has a chance to prove his worthiness and his love – and show her the alpha-male inside.

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed the first book in this series (Werewolf in Manhattan) and I absolutely had planned to read the second book (Werewolf in the North Woods) but this novella really gave me that push to read it sooner rather than later. I was sucked in more than with the first book and I had high hopes for how much I would love the next in the series.

Which brings me to…

Werewolf in the North Woods (Wild About You #2)

When she used to walk around her grandfather’s property outside Portland, Abby Winchell loved the idea that Bigfoot was somewhere out there too. Now her grandfather swears he’s seen two creatures that fit the legendary description – and he has evidence. Sort of. Grandpa Earl may be a bit dotty, but when his neighbors invite a renowned anthropologist to disprove his theory, Abby decides to send the man packing…until she sees how hot he is.

Anthropology professor Roark Wallace can’t risk news being made of Bigfoot sighting in the north woods – not with a local pack of werewolves to protect. Disproving the evidence should be easy, but ignoring Abby is not. Her fiery red hair makes him want to sit up and beg, and this obvious attraction is making the pack suspicious…

My Thoughts:

I am loving all of the new types of paranormal creatures that I’ve come across in books recently. This time around, the characters of choice were werewolves and big foots…or would it be ‘big feet’…or is big foot the singular and plural?! Ack, you know what I mean, I’ll just say BF to make it easier on myself. Aaaanyway, Roark alone is a big reason to love this book, but I also have a weakness for sexy werewolves ;)

Roark and Abby are on opposite sides but because Abby is very cunning they end up working together to find the BF. Roark wants to protect the BF and wants to continue to hide their existence and Abby wants to prove their existence, thereby proving Grandpa Earl isn’t looney.

They are both attracted to each other (and that’s putting it mildly) but know it would be a terrible idea for it to go any further than attraction. This tension makes for an interesting (and entertaining) trek in the woods. Can they keep their hands/paws off of each other? Will they find the BF and what will happen when they do?

I loved this book and I hope Werewolf in Seattle lives up to my high expectations!
